Cars can affect the health of any individual, no matter how old or how young. For instance, think of all the pollution that gets put into the air every single day. Unfortunately, Cars cause pollution, which can affect our environment and the health of an individual. Each body part gets affected in a different way. Air pollution particles are tiny. A strand of hair is about 30 times larger than an air pollution particle. Once we breathe this tiny particle, the particles can affect every single organ of your body. The organs that get affected are the Heart, Lungs, Brain, and Bloodstream. Unfortunately, each organ that gets affected comes with a consequence. Heart: Air pollution can affect the heart’s ability to conduct electrical signals, which leads to irregular heart rhythms. Heartbeats can develop Coronary artery disease can cause dangerous arrhythmias like atrial fibrillation, or AFib. It’s a rapid, quivering heartbeat that can lead to heart palpitations, blood clots, heart attack, and stroke. Lungs: the particles go deep into the lungs and even the bloodstream. Air pollution has been linked to breathing problems, including asthma. Poor air pollution particles can irritate your airway. Bloodstream: tiny particles travel into the bloodstream and can cause inflammation and hardening of the artery wall. When this happens, it can increase the risk of you having a heart disease. If you already have heart disease, air pollution can increase your risk of heart attack and stroke. Air pollution restricts the movement of your blood vessels. If that happens then your blood pressure can increase. Brain: New evidence shows that air pollution is linked to dementia, which is also known as a disease that affects your memory. Air pollution particles have been found inside the brains of people living in a metropolis or a city. The British Heart Foundation or the BHF are funding more research in this area.
There are a few suggestions that we can do to reduce the risk of getting sick.
1. Exercise!! Exercising is excellent for you. The benefits of doing this that when more people use bikes and or walk, the air pollution rate goes down.
2. Eat a balanced meal so that your body can fight off the air pollution particles in your body.
